I’m pretty sure GoT is going to continue its story blind to the actual tactical advantages each army has, but it’s still interesting to think about. This is most important with Daenerys, as she’s in the process of building up her forces, and it would make sense for her to prioritize fighters that would best counter the armies she’d face in...
Took kind of a big risk with stocks today and may have to incur my first significant loss. I don’t have high hopes that I’ll break-even or profit for the day, I’m just hoping it’ll go back up and minimize my loss.

I mean this in the context of, like, after the Boston bombing or any other high profile crime, you’ll get politicians and media calling the perpetrators (or suspects) “sick,” “monster,” “twisted,” “cowardly,” “delusional” or whatever else....

The glorification of violence is far more widespread. You know how we’re told that truest patriots are in the armed forces, and that joining the army is the path to “be all that you can be?” Or with violent movies, where characters like Rambo are set up as heroes? You don’t want kids...

So I hadn’t realized that back when Zuccotti Park was raided (the location of the main OWS group) that their library (“The People’s Library”) had basically been destroyed. About 2/3 of their books and other materials were destroyed or damaged beyond use/repair. OWS sued, and apparently the judge just signed off on a settlement of $47,000, which will be used by OWS library...
Had a dream last night that was part-Minecraft, part-Game of Thrones, that eventually morphed into Wreck-It Ralph. Had a dream this morning that was Harry Potter-themed.
