I’m hoping Google+ catches on. Not because I want Facebook to die, but so I know that *something* can compete with it, and we don’t reach a point where a platform begins too big, too solidified for the landscape to evolve. The fact that Facebook beat Myspace is evidence that it’s possible, but the Facebook situation is different in a few ways.

With Democrats refusing to cut social/entitlement programs and Republicans refusing to raise taxes or cut defense, I’m left thinking that neither side is really concerned about the deficit. Both sides are just continuing what they do best: the Democrats excel in getting nothing accomplished and the Republicans get to hoard their money and increase the wealth gap.
